Open Source Intelligence (OSINT):
OSINT refers to looking at open source intelligence sources for information about your organization on the internet to try to find information useful to further an attack. For example, an attacker might seek out emails of employees who might have highly-privileged cloud credentials.
2nd Sight Lab does not perform email phishing as part of our engagement but sometimes finding information about employees, GitHub repos, and information in online data stores may provide clues to further an attack.
We also do not scour the dark web due to time constraints, however, we will search some online sources for exposed data and report any findings.
